A big day planned!!

Good morning, a frosty start to what looks like a beautiful day. I have been busy this morning, up and at it at 5am.. Yep to much rumbling around in my mind!
Mostly the swaps for the Stampin’ Up Convention, with only 30 something days to go I do really need to get cracking at them having only 100 completed.. I have some creative ideas in mind so will be in my studio for most of today playing.
I have been finally finished work on a Graphic 45 baby “Brag Book” so will post when I get photos, I just love Graphic 45 so I am very happy with the finished product.
Okay time to get “at it” hopefully will have a successful day…

Baby Shower

What a precious time, baby showers are such fun and an exciting day for mum to be. Today I would like to share with you a card that I made for my niece, Kylie.

Although Kylie does not know the sex of her bub she is a very ‘girly” girl so it didn’t take much time to decide on colors and effects  for her card.

For this card I used one of my favourite Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, just perfect for the occasion. I inked her with tuxedo black momento ink and stamped onto watercolor paper.

I colored my image with Stampin Up Re-inkers using an aqua brush. I just love SU’s Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink together, the DSP is also SU as are the punches.  The die’s are Spellbinders and Marianne Designs.

The finishing touches are SU’s pearls and Kaiser flowers. I was very happy with this card as it was “just perfect” for Kylie.

Thanks for dropping in, hope to see you soon. Don’t forget to “follow” me

hugs Sonya 🙂

Sympathy Cards

I always struggle with Sympathy cards, what I need to do is have some on hand so when one is needed I don’t get into a spin..but still I sit for hours, pondering & reflecting on all that is my life instead of getting the card done!!

I needed to get 5 cards done in a week.. and yep as predicted I left it to the last day and then stayed up until 2am to finish!

Card N0.1

To get me started I inked one of my favourite Stampin Up images onto Very Vanilla cardstock, this stamp always looks great! Rose Red and Early Espresso work very nicely with the Stampin Up DSP, The Stampin Up Ribbon, pearls  and border punch add a lovely touch. The layered mounts sits proudly over the finely matted embossed cardstock.

A look at the inside..

Card No.2

I am a bit of a brown girl, so comfort zone for this one..

Good Ole Early Espresso and Very vanilla, what a combination these two everytime! Stampin Up DSP added a soft touch under the Martha Stewart border punch. Using a sponging block and Early Espresso ink I lightly added some color to the edge of the Sizzix die cut, stamped a flourish and sentiment also in Early Espresso. The flower on this card is from Prima.

I like to put as much care and love into the inside of a card as well at the front, using the same products as on the front this is what I came up with for this card..

Card N0.3

For this card I have used a beautiful DP from Kaszazz that works well with Stampin Up’s Always Artichoke, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. The stamps used were from Stampin Up, Stampledge and Stamp It. All images are inked with Always Artichoke. I also used two Marianne Design Die’s, some flowers from then finished off with Stampin Up ribbon and pearls.

The inside of the cards was also completed using the same products.

Card N0.4

This card was created using Stampin Up’s Mocha DSP teamed with Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock. The border punch is by Christina Rae, the flowers are from iamroses, the lace and ribbon are also Stampin Up, A couple of different Spellbinders created the lovely frames around the Marianne Design  die. The stamps are Stampin Up and Stamp It inked with Soft Suede. The finishing touches are Stampin Up pearls

The inside also finished of nicely with a collection of the above products.

Card N0.5

For this one I used Very Vanilla and Night Of Navy cardstock, Designer Series Paper Stack (Night of Navy fine stripe). The Stamped image (Stampin Up & Stamp It) were stamped in Night of Navy ink and water coloured with Stampin Up re-inkers using a aqua brush.  Finishing touches included a beautiful piece of organza ribbon, Stampin Up pears and a Kaiser Craft rose.

and the inside

Thanks for looking, I hope you have enjoyed looking at these cards, please check back soon. Oh and I do apologise for the quality of the photo’s, I used my phone…never again!!

Field Flowers

This afternoon I am going to share with you a card using stamps from the Stampin Up 2011-2012 Idea’s Book and Catalogue. Field Flowers quickly became a favourite of mine as the uses for this two-step set are endless.

Stamps sets: Field Flowers & French Foliage.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral.

Ink: Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz & Soft Suede.

 Ribbon: Always Artichoke

 Various circle punches.

gettin the hang of it..

Phewwww I think I have got it sorted… I have a blog, I have a watermark, I have finished products, I just have to take the photo’s and get them on here!!! That will be this weeks task… 🙂
