I always struggle with Sympathy cards, what I need to do is have some on hand so when one is needed I don’t get into a spin..but still I sit for hours, pondering & reflecting on all that is my life instead of getting the card done!!
I needed to get 5 cards done in a week.. and yep as predicted I left it to the last day and then stayed up until 2am to finish!
To get me started I inked one of my favourite Stampin Up images onto Very Vanilla cardstock, this stamp always looks great! Rose Red and Early Espresso work very nicely with the Stampin Up DSP, The Stampin Up Ribbon, pearls and border punch add a lovely touch. The layered mounts sits proudly over the finely matted embossed cardstock.
A look at the inside..
Good Ole Early Espresso and Very vanilla, what a combination these two are..works everytime! Stampin Up DSP added a soft touch under the Martha Stewart border punch. Using a sponging block and Early Espresso ink I lightly added some color to the edge of the Sizzix die cut, stamped a flourish and sentiment also in Early Espresso. The flower on this card is from Prima.
I like to put as much care and love into the inside of a card as well at the front, using the same products as on the front this is what I came up with for this card..
For this card I have used a beautiful DP from Kaszazz that works well with Stampin Up’s Always Artichoke, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. The stamps used were from Stampin Up, Stampledge and Stamp It. All images are inked with Always Artichoke. I also used two Marianne Design Die’s, some flowers from www.iamroses.com then finished off with Stampin Up ribbon and pearls.
The inside of the cards was also completed using the same products.
This card was created using Stampin Up’s Mocha DSP teamed with Soft Suede and Very Vanilla cardstock. The border punch is by Christina Rae, the flowers are from iamroses, the lace and ribbon are also Stampin Up, A couple of different Spellbinders created the lovely frames around the Marianne Design die. The stamps are Stampin Up and Stamp It inked with Soft Suede. The finishing touches are Stampin Up pearls
For this one I used Very Vanilla and Night Of Navy cardstock, Designer Series Paper Stack (Night of Navy fine stripe). The Stamped image (Stampin Up & Stamp It) were stamped in Night of Navy ink and water coloured with Stampin Up re-inkers using a aqua brush. Finishing touches included a beautiful piece of organza ribbon, Stampin Up pears and a Kaiser Craft rose.
